Tube connectors, profile connectors

go back
Tube connectors are components for the assembly of profiles and systems. They are ideal for protective equipment, enclosures, housing and racks of all kinds in mechanical engineering.

Tube clamps from KIPP

Tubes can be easily and flexibly joined together using tube connectors from KIPP. Tube clamps are an inexpensive and time-saving alternative to self-made or welded constructions. Round tubes and square tubes can be reliably and rigidly joined using tube clamps. Due to the simple push-fit system, they can be easily detached and reused several times - no drilling, riveting or welding. This means that subsequent changes to the construction can be implemented easily and without any great effort.

Comparison of tube clamp materials: plastic, aluminium and stainless steel

Plastic tube clamps - for light loading

Plastic tube clamps are suitable for constructions that are subjected to low mechanical loads. They are used in particular in the food packaging industry and are characterised by their low weight.

Main advantages of plastic tube clamps:

  • Corrosion resistant
  • Resistant to aggressive materials
  • Inexpensive
  • Attractive design

To increase rigidity, we recommend using aluminium tubing together with plastic tube clamps. Tubes from the KIPP range are precisely matched to our tube clamps and ensure a secure joint.

The following sizes are available:

  • Plastic tube clamps for round tubes with diameters 18 mm and 30 mm
  • Plastic tube clamps for square tubes with cross section 30 mm

Aluminium tube clamps - for the medium to heavy load range

KIPP offers a wide range of aluminium tube clamp types. They are suitable for any tubular construction and are characterised by a higher load-bearing capacity compared to plastic models. Aluminium tube clamps are made of cast or extruded aluminium.

The main advantages are:

  • Rapid and inexpensive assembly
  • Multi-part couplings available, suitable for retrofitting
  • Robust
  • Various design versions

In our range you will find:

  • Aluminium tube clamps for round tubes with diameters 12 mm, 14 mm, 15 mm, 16 mm, 18 mm, 20 mm, 25 mm, 30 mm, 40 mm, 50 mm
  • Aluminium tube clamps for square tubes with cross-section 25 mm, 30 mm, 40 mm

Stainless steel tube clamps - for shock-proof load sectors

Stainless steel tube clamps are high temperature resistant and designed specially for dynamic loads. The material makes them corrosion-resistant and they have great flexural strength.

They are made from investment cast stainless steel and the main advantages are:

  • extreme strength
  • vibration-proof
  • temperature and corrosion resistant
  • shock and impact resistant
  • electropolished surfaces

KIPP offers stainless steel tube clamps for round tubes with diameterers 12 mm, 14 mm, 16 mm, 18 mm, 20 mm, 30 mm, 40 mm

Various versions of tube clamps

KIPP tube clamps can be divided into three categories – right angle tube clamps, axially parallel tube clamps and swivel tube clamps.

Right angle tube clamps

Angular type tube clamps join tubes at 90° to each other or at 90° to the fastening surface.

The angular tube clamp category includes:

  • Cross connectors
  • Right-angle connectors
  • Base connectors
  • T-angle connectors

Each tube clamp type is designed for specific applications. For instance, the right-angle connector is for forming corners and the base connectors can be fastened to floors or walls. The different types of right-angle tube clamps are also available with removable heads, which make them ideal for retro-fitting in existing systems. Different materials are available depending on the later application area.

Axially parallel tube clamps

Tube clamps with axis-parallel mounting, connect tubes centrically to each other or parallel to the fastening surface.

The axis-parallel tube clamps include:

  • Straight connectors
  • Flange connectors

Straight connectors can also be used to join short tube lengths. This enables cut remnants to be integrated into systems, minimising waste and reducing costs.

Swivel tube clamp

Swivel tube clamps enable tubes to be joined in-line or at an angle to each other. The swivel range is mostly 180°. They are available with or without an indexing function.

The swivel tube category includes:

  • Swivel half connectors
  • Swivel connectors
  • Swivel base connectors

By using swivel tube clamps, there are hardly any limits when building constructions. In addition, screens or control panels can be individually positioned by means of the swivel tube clamps, thus enabling ergonomic workplaces - individually adapted to the individual employee.

Various types of tube clamps

Joining different types of tube - With reducer sleeves, no problem

KIPP has two types of tube clamps in its range, tube clamps for square tubes and tube clamps for round tubes. By using reducer sleeves tube clamps for round tubes can be adapted to join square tubes, or visa-versa.

They can also be used to join smaller sized tubing:

Tube clamps for linear units

In addition to conventional tube clamps, KIPP also offers aluminium connector clamps for linear actuators.

These are available as:

  • Cross clamps
  • Flange clamps
  • Base clamps

These clamps enable linear actuators to be simply joined or fixated.
